Visions in Action is an international nonprofit organization committed to achieving social and economic justice in the developing world through the participation of communities of self-reliant, grassroots volunteers.

Our Mission

Participants in the Visions in Action program support the following precepts:

We have programs scheduled as follows:
 
Oaxaca, Mexico (Starting each January, June (short-term) and July)

Kampala, Uganda (Starting each September and March)

Arusha and Moshi, Tanzania (Starting each January, June (short-term) and July)

Johannesburg, South Africa (Starting each January and July)

Each program country provides group housing for its volunteers and offers volunteers a unique opportunity to live and work as a development professional in an urban setting. Some rural opportunities also exist.
